Award Concepts is a New Zealand import distribution company supplying major retail chains (Mitre 10, Bunnings, Placemakers, Briscoes) that faced an unsupported, heavily-customized Microsoft Dynamics AX and an error-prone third-party RF/barcoding system that threatened order fulfilment and on-time deliveries. To modernize operations they selected RF-SMART to replace their barcoding solution while upgrading to Dynamics AX 2012.

RF-SMART’s solution integrated directly with Dynamics AX, simplifying picking, enabling prioritized shelf replenishment via forklift-mounted laptops, and delivering real-time inventory visibility; combined with AX business intelligence, Award Concepts now reports daily KPIs, plans shipments in advance, and no longer misses delivery requirements. As a result, RF-SMART helped the company fulfil orders correctly and on time, with customer delivery metrics “better than they’ve ever been.”
