A Revolution Analytics Case Study
Mu Sigma, an analytics outsourcing firm, needed faster and more flexible ways to predict customer turnover and analyze large, complex data sets for clients in marketing, risk, and supply chain management. To meet these big data challenges, Mu Sigma used Revolution Analytics’ R-based tools, including Revolution R, to support a “portfolio” of multiple analytic models.
Revolution Analytics helped Mu Sigma run advanced methods such as quantile regression, neural networks, random forests, and decision trees, along with parallel processing for very large data sets. The result was better, faster, and more economical analytics that improved predictive stability and helped Mu Sigma maintain its leadership position while staying on the cutting edge of analytic science.
