eBags, an online luggage and travel-accessory retailer, faced intense competition from both online and offline sellers and struggled to keep prices aligned across a broad assortment using manual processes. The company also relied heavily on widely available coupons and needed more targeted promotions so standalone prices could still drive demand.
Starting in 2012 eBags partnered with Revionics to implement dynamic pricing algorithms and a KPI dashboard, allowing daily, rule‑based price adjustments and targeted couponing. The result was faster, data-driven pricing decisions across more categories, improved competitiveness and responsiveness to market moves, and stronger sales and margins.
