How V1 Sports simplified their codebase and drove growth

V1 Sports, a golf, baseball, and softball training app company, was struggling to maintain six separate mobile app codebases. This made development expensive and time-consuming, slowed feature updates and pricing changes, and limited the team’s ability to scale and support new hardware and product goals.

V1 Sports partnered with Very Good Ventures and RevenueCat to rebuild its apps in Flutter with a single codebase and use RevenueCat for subscription management and in-app purchase infrastructure. The new apps launched in June 2022, and by November 2022 revenues had nearly doubled year over year, conversion rates increased, and the user base grew to more than 300,000 accounts.
