How RevenueCat’s Targeting feature saved Unscripted Photographers’ big sale

Unscripted Photographers, a photography business app available on iOS and Android, needed to launch an end-of-year promotion but ran into a timing issue: the Android paywall wasn’t ready, and the team needed a way to target the sale to iOS users only without breaking older app versions. They turned to RevenueCat and its recently launched Targeting feature to support a remote, audience-specific offer under a tight deadline.

Using RevenueCat Targeting, the team could tailor the promotion to iOS customers on a compatible app version (v3.1.16) while leaving Android and older iOS versions unaffected. RevenueCat enabled Unscripted Photographers to launch the sale as planned and avoid an estimated $50,000 in lost revenue, and the team also highlighted that future scheduled targeted offers would make seasonal promotions easier to automate.
