How CardPointers improved margins and their cross-platform experience with RevenueCat and Stripe

CardPointers, a finance app that helps users maximize credit card rewards, started as a web app and later expanded to iOS, watchOS, and a Chrome extension. Founder Emmanuel Crouvisier needed an easier way to implement subscriptions, support cross-platform purchases, and improve monetization as the product grew. He turned to RevenueCat for in-app purchases and later paired it with Stripe for web-based payments.

Using RevenueCat and Stripe, CardPointers unified subscription management across mobile and web, improving the customer experience while giving the team better attribution, reporting, and flexibility over pricing and discounts. The shift to web checkout also significantly improved margins: CardPointers saved up to about 27% in fees, benefited from Apple’s Small Business Program for another 15% savings, and used RevenueCat as the source of truth for entitlements and analytics across platforms.
