TechSmith Corporation, a maker of Snagit and Camtasia used by tens of millions in more than 180 countries, needed better quantitative insight into how customers use its products to improve feature roadmaps, trial conversions, upgrades, site-license renewals, and cross-sales. To solve tracking, analytics, and targeted messaging gaps, TechSmith partnered with Revenera and implemented its Usage Intelligence platform (including ReachOut in-app messaging).

Revenera’s Usage Intelligence gave TechSmith in-product analytics and targeted messaging that informed development priorities, personalized onboarding and upgrade campaigns, and smarter marketing and support actions. The results included ReachOut messages that drove 61% higher click rates and 44% higher conversion rates than email, a 17% response rate on a targeted French NPS survey, improved feature decisions (e.g., adding webcam support), higher trial-to-paid conversion and cross-sell opportunities, and better enterprise usage visibility that protected site-license revenue.
