Siemens Building Technologies, a global leader in building automation and safety systems, needed to make software a more integral part of its business by creating new revenue streams, improving visibility and reporting, and standardizing licensing technology. To address these challenges they selected Revenera and its Software Monetization Platform (including FlexNet Operations) to provide a consistent, harmonized licensing foundation.

Revenera implemented a single software monetization platform fully integrated with Siemens’ ERP and BI systems, automating entitlement management and order processes. The deployment ensured software protection and monetization, eliminated shipping hardware dongles by replacing them with license keys (removing manual ordering steps), improved reporting and operational automation, and enabled Siemens to pursue new models such as pay-for-use and SaaS to drive additional revenue.
