Revenera Powers Monetization of PTC’s ThingWorx IoT Platform

ThingWorx, PTC’s Industrial Innovation IoT and AR platform, was growing rapidly and needed a robust, flexible, and scalable monetization and compliance solution to manage subscriptions, device/user/API metrics, and multi-server license provisioning. PTC selected Revenera and its Software Monetization platform (including FlexNet Operations and FlexNet Embedded) to provide centralized entitlement management, subscription automation, and scalable licensing.

Revenera implemented the Software Monetization platform with FlexNet Operations as the central entitlement back office, FlexNet Embedded for flexible licensing, and the Revenera Integration Framework to connect to PTC’s existing workflows, with Revenera Global Consulting Services supporting planning, implementation, and training. The solution met PTC’s requirements out of the box, delivered a first‑pass success with zero business downtime, enabled automated subscriptions and renewals, scalable license provisioning across servers, and a unified view of customer usage—allowing ThingWorx to standardize monetization across other PTC products and accelerate revenue operations.
