iPass, a leading provider of mobility services for enterprises, faced a critical challenge: deliver customer-configured remote access client software as true .msi installers that IT teams could manage with standard software distribution tools and that could be private-labeled for reseller partners. Their previous installer vendor produced .exe wrappers that broke automated deployments and blocked sales to large enterprises, so iPass turned to Revenera and its InstallShield product (plus Revenera professional services) for a reliable solution.
Revenera used InstallShield’s command-line interface and on-site professional services to automate generation of true .msi files, delivering a working solution in about four weeks. As a result, iPass can now support enterprise automated distribution, confidently sell into large accounts, expand its reseller channel with private‑label offerings, and grow revenue—while benefitting from Revenera’s responsiveness and installation expertise.
