CivilGEO Unlocks New Revenue Streams with Hybrid Monetization

CivilGEO, a developer of engineering design software for water resource management (including GeoSTORM, GeoHECRAS, and GeoHECHMS), faced security and scalability problems with a legacy crypto‑based licensing system that limited cloud and hybrid deployments and would have taken 12–18 months to replace. To modernize licensing, support subscriptions and floating access, and reduce operational risk, CivilGEO partnered with Revenera and adopted Revenera’s flexible software licensing service / monetization platform.

Revenera implemented an ISO/IEC‑certified monetization platform that enabled node‑locked, LAN and cloud floating licenses, hybrid deployments, precise entitlement management, and usage insights. The full migration to Revenera was completed in six months—saving at least 6–12 months versus building an in‑house solution—reducing technical debt, improving developer productivity, accelerating time‑to‑market, and providing entitlement and renewal data that fuels revenue growth and better customer experiences.
