Twistee Treat, an Orlando-based quick-service ice cream chain known for its iconic 25-foot cones and made-to-order ice cream from a local dairy, was growing rapidly and needed a modern, scalable point-of-sale to improve speed, accuracy and customer engagement. President Corey Balzer sought an iPad-based solution to streamline kitchen operations and build a digital loyalty program.
Revel delivered an iPad POS with Kitchen Display Systems and a no-card digital loyalty program. After implementation ticket times and errors fell, guest satisfaction rose, throughput improved and food costs dropped about 1.5 percentage points. The loyalty program attracted 42,000 members in six months, and Revel’s ongoing enhancements continue to support Twistee Treat’s growth.
