mmmPanadas, founded by Cody and Kristen after they left corporate jobs in 2008, launched Austin’s first empanada food truck offering 20 sweet and savory fillings. As early mobile restaurateurs they faced food-truck–specific challenges—frequent mechanical and power issues, weather dependence—and needed better inventory control, till accountability, and employee time tracking across locations.

They turned to Revel’s POS system for real-time inventory, reliable till reconciliation, and staff management, plus historical sales data to choose profitable locations and refine the menu. The result: more efficient operations, smarter event planning, less wasted product, and measurable growth—into a second truck, CPG distribution (including Whole Foods), and national recognition from outlets like GQ and Southern Living.
