Lyric Opera of Chicago is a full-service opera house in Chicago that operates a theater, restaurant, concession stands, and a retail shop for roughly 3,600 patrons per performance. With only minutes between acts and even shorter intermissions to seat diners and serve concessions, the organization needed a faster, more flexible point-of-sale solution to prevent long lines and keep service moving.
Revel provided a mobile POS solution and Mobile Order Takers that dramatically sped transactions — orders are keyed and paid quickly, letting patrons “in and out” during short breaks. The deployment reduced queues, improved service flow during shows, and helped Lyric Opera increase concession and dining revenue while offering more options to patrons.
