Graham Media Group’s WSLS digital sales team needed a way to find consumers actively shopping for mattresses and reach them where they spend time online, particularly Facebook. Partnering with Reveal Mobile and using its Social Direct product, the team aimed to build location-based audiences of visitors to the retailer’s and competitors’ stores to improve targeting, awareness, and return on ad spend.
Reveal Mobile used Social Direct to create portable, location-based custom audiences (including visitors to competitor locations) that WSLS uploaded to Facebook and other social platforms. The campaign drove measurable lift: 4 additional mattress sales attributed to the effort, a 3.3% CTR (versus a 0.02% desktop average and 0.90% typical social CTR), representing a 160x improvement over desktop and a 266% improvement over typical social performance, and enabled WSLS to command premium pricing for its targeted solution.
