Geofencing Retail Stores Drives Sales of Consumer Goods

Media Two is a data‑driven media buying agency that needed to reach shoppers for a global outdoor sporting equipment brand that sells only through distributors and has no own retail locations—a tricky location problem for geofencing. To solve this, Media Two worked with Reveal Mobile and used its VISIT Local product to capture the exact in‑market audiences visiting partner retailers and events.

Reveal Mobile’s VISIT Local geofencing was applied to the brand’s top 150 retail partners and key trade shows, using a lookback window to build audiences of about 1.3 million and activating those segments across DSPs for targeted campaigns. The 2020 campaigns tied to VISIT Local audiences were attributed with almost 20% of sales (measured by warranty activations), demonstrating clear, measurable lift and prompting Media Two to expand the approach to additional clients.
