La Redoute, a major French retailer of apparel and home decor, faced email deliverability challenges tied to a shared IP address, high complaint rates, and a large number of inactive contacts that hurt its sender reputation and inbox placement. To improve performance, La Redoute worked with Return Path and its Professional Services team, using a Deliverability Audit and Return Path’s Email Intelligence Suite to identify infrastructure and list-quality issues.
Return Path recommended email authentication with a dedicated subdomain, IP segmentation by campaign type, and a strategy to reactivate dormant subscribers. As a result, La Redoute improved inbox placement from 71% to 96% in less than six months, earned Return Path Certification, and reduced emails sent to the spam folder to under 2%, while gaining more consistent deliverability and stronger sender reputation.
