Case Study: GE Healthcare achieves improved distributed-team collaboration and actionable insights with Retrium

A Retrium Case Study

Preview of the GE Healthcare Case Study

Agile Methodology in Healthcare with GE Healthcare

GE Healthcare, the healthcare IT arm of General Electric, was facing the typical challenges of distributed scrum and kanban teams—communication and context gaps—while moving infrastructure to the cloud and automating operations. To complement tools like CA Agile Central and Sococo, GE Healthcare adopted Retrium’s retrospective platform to gather candid feedback, run structured retrospectives, and improve team alignment across distributed and temporary teams.

Retrium enabled anonymous input, grouping, voting and simple action plans that GE Healthcare used across engineering teams, university projects, customer advisory boards and employee roundtables. The platform gave teams clear, actionable priorities (for example, a focused “top 5 things to focus on next sprint” from advisory boards), turned a struggling student project around almost immediately, and smoothed organizational restructuring with better engagement—delivering faster decision-making, measurable next-step lists, and repeatable insights that improved collaboration. Retrium’s ease of use and anonymity also reduced bias and lowered the effort required to get honest feedback.
