Neo4j, a SaaS graph database company, needed a better way to manage renewals as its sales organization grew. The team had been using Google Sheets and considered Salesforce, but neither could support the renewals team’s different workflows, forecasting needs, or need for fast, custom reporting without heavy engineering or sales ops support. Retool provided the flexible internal-tool platform Neo4j needed, including a custom renewals command center.
With Retool, Neo4j built the Renewals Control Center to manage account data, track renewal stages, surface custom fields, and automate forecast-change notifications. The team now spends 95% of its time in Retool, late-renewal churn has improved many-fold, and last-minute forecast surprises have been nearly eliminated. Retool also helped Neo4j build the tool in about a month, far faster than the year it would have otherwise taken.
