The Vitamin Shoppe, with over 739 stores across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, wanted to improve in-store and online customer experience by managing stores around accurate shopper traffic and conversion metrics. The challenge was to install reliable traffic-counting across the fleet—731 stores—quickly enough to enable tactical, data-driven store operations.

RetailNext’s Traffic 2.0 was piloted in 75 stores in five days and rolled out to the remaining 656 stores within two months, accompanied by training on traffic vs. POS transactions and the “Power of 1%” conversion concept. Store hours, staffing and scheduling were optimized around identified power hours, driving a culture of conversion that produced a fleet-wide conversion increase of over 100 basis points and more than $6 million in incremental sales within seven months.
