Dungelmann Schoenen, a Dutch shoe and accessory retailer, sought to enhance its online customer service by providing a more personalized shopping experience on its website. Faced with the complexity of developing such a solution in-house, the company partnered with vendor Retail Rocket to implement personalized product recommendations.

Retail Rocket implemented its personalization platform on the retailer's homepage, creating over 20 scenarios to tailor product displays in real-time based on individual visitor behavior and preferences. To measure effectiveness, an A/B test was conducted over four months. The test revealed that visitors who received personalized recommendations were 13.3% more likely to make a purchase than the control group, resulting in a statistically significant 13.3% increase in conversion for the webshop.
