Kliper, a major online fashion and outdoor retailer, sought to further improve its key business metrics after an initial successful implementation of AI-driven personalization. The challenge was to optimize the effectiveness of product recommendations on its product pages to enhance the customer experience and increase conversions and revenue. They partnered with Retail Rocket to conduct A/B testing on their recommendation engine.
The solution from Retail Rocket involved running A/B tests to determine the most effective order for two personalized recommendation blocks: "alternative" and "related" products. The tests revealed that showing alternative products first, followed by related items, yielded the best results. This strategy led to a significant increase in conversion and revenue per visitor for both desktop and mobile users, including an 11.04% boost in desktop conversion and an 11.05% increase in mobile revenue per visitor. Retail Rocket's data-driven approach successfully maximized the impact of their AI personalization technology for the client.
