Oakley, a global eyewear and apparel retailer headquartered in Foothill Ranch, California, faced the challenge of scaling a simple, single-store POS solution into a robust, customer-facing retail platform that could support omnichannel expectations and integrate with back-office systems. Working with Retail Pro International (using Retail Pro Prism and Retail Pro 9, and supported by the Cross-Partner team), Oakley needed a flexible system to handle POS, data exports to SAP, receiving with ASNs, store-to-store transfers, and localized implementations across multiple countries.
Retail Pro International implemented Retail Pro Prism and Retail Pro 9 across Oakley’s network, enabling in-store POS, supply-chain functions (ASNs and transfers), extensive customizations, and global rollouts supported by its Business Partner network. The solution scaled from one store to 250 stores in 8 countries, improved system performance after a hardware-standardized upgrade to version 9, and supported Oakley’s move toward omnichannel and mobile capabilities—delivering a consistent, brand-facing retail experience and reliable operational data for the business.
