Mexicali Blues - Customer Case Study

Mexicali Blues, a Maine-based specialty retailer with six stores, faced the challenge of growing beyond its small-store roots while keeping a close customer connection and optimizing inventory and online conversion. To support that growth and omnichannel ambitions it partnered with Retail Pro International, deploying Retail Pro POS and integrating with UniteU’s ecommerce/omnichannel platform to unify store and online operations.

Using Retail Pro International’s Retail Pro POS together with UniteU’s integration, Mexicali Blues implemented a unified commerce solution that syncs product, inventory and customer data, enables buy-online-pickup-in-store and ties store-level stock to the website. The result: double-digit online sales growth for two years, a record year for both in-store and online sales, nearly half of online purchases stocked in-store, expanded national order fulfillment and measurable gains in accuracy, efficiency and customer experience.
