Kids Cavern, the UK’s largest independent retailer of luxury childrenswear founded in 1989, needed to compete with low‑price, convenience‑focused online players by creating a memorable bricks‑and‑mortar experience that builds loyalty and convenience for parents. To support an experiential retail strategy — including a planned move from 4,000 to 15,000 sq. ft. with designer departments, a kids’ catwalk and click‑and‑collect — Kids Cavern implemented Retail Pro International’s Retail Pro POS and retail management software.
Retail Pro International delivered an integrated solution — Retail Pro POS with RD‑ICE ecommerce integration — to synchronize in‑store inventory with their Magento site, enable layaway and click‑and‑collect, and streamline operations. The Retail Pro platform reduced manual work, improved reporting and inventory control, supported international ecommerce (roughly the same share of sales as in‑store), and helped Kids Cavern scale its omnichannel customer experience as it expands its flagship store.
