Massey's Professional Outfitters, a Louisiana-based outdoor retailer with seven stores and an online shop, needed a single view of inventory and order data to operate a hybrid brick‑and‑mortar and e‑commerce business without costly stockouts. To address omnichannel complexity they partnered with Retail Pro International, deploying Retail Pro with Retail Backbone (including a vendor dropship application) and Cayan payments, implemented through their business partner Retail Technology Centers.

Retail Pro International’s solution gave Massey's a unified, configurable platform that automated dropship when items sold out during online checkout, eliminated many stockouts, and enabled store-to-store rebalancing and lower overall inventory levels. As a result warehouse-based replenishment for web sales dropped to roughly 25–50%, the company was able to scale to multiple locations, increase in‑store assortments and events, improve margins and profitability, and gain additional payment security via Cayan.
