Baby Cakes Launches MiLB Team Store Expansion with Retail Pro Prism POS

New Orleans Baby Cakes faced the challenge of launching an all-new brand and merchandise line after rebranding from the Zephyrs, needing to promote jerseys, hats and other memorabilia across an in-stadium shop, online store and pop-up events. To unify commerce and speed transactions, the team adopted Retail Pro International’s Retail Pro Prism POS, bringing on Bob Moullette to manage The Cakes Shop and modernize their retail operations.

Using Retail Pro Prism, Retail Pro International helped the Baby Cakes run three touchscreen POS stations on game nights, mobile iPad POS at events, and a single inventory that fulfills both store and ecommerce orders—customized to handle stadium tax rules. The result: higher sell-through and inventory turnover, more than 400 ecommerce orders within 36 hours of launch, in-stadium merchandise sales that surpassed the prior season and a top-five ranking in MiLB merchandise sales, with Retail Pro Prism delivering real-time KPIs to drive nightly sales performance.
