The UK Home Office (National Co-ordinator Ports Policing – Special Branch) engaged Restrata to review security at 45 strategic sea ports and airports across the UK. The brief was to assess the effectiveness of existing counter‑terrorism, law‑enforcement and border‑control technologies—focusing on ANPR, CCTV, integration with intelligence sources, compliance with national strategy and gaps between current and desired functionality—and to identify systems required to raise performance to the required standard.

Restrata reviewed existing systems against national standards, presented options, managed procurement and project delivery, integrated all remote ANPR systems into the UK Police Service national infrastructure, and completed full acceptance testing, commissioning and 24/7 maintenance contract management across the sites. As a result, Restrata delivered standardized upgrade paths and nationwide ANPR connectivity that improved interoperability and operational readiness across UK sea ports and airports, with continuous support to sustain performance.
