Nikken Sekkei engaged Restrata as lead security consultants for the Camp Nou redevelopment in Barcelona, a project that increased stadium capacity from 99,350 to 105,000 and required every seat to have a clear view of the pitch. Nikken Sekkei’s brief was to deliver a world-class, risk‑based stadium security programme covering technology, procedures, processes and regulatory compliance, and Restrata was appointed to design and manage those security elements.

Restrata delivered a full security solution including security threat and risk assessments, blast and void analysis, security concept design, lead security design authority for the stadium and external public space, command-and-control room design, and tender/procurement support. Restrata’s work provided concrete design and operational outputs and enabled a compliant, risk‑based security framework to support the expanded 105,000-capacity stadium and its safe operation.
