A Restrata Case Study

Preview of the Ma'aden Case Study

Ma'aden - Customer Case Study

Ma'aden commissioned Restrata to support development of the Mineral Resources Industrial City (MRIC) at Ras Az Zawr, an 80 km2 greenfield industrial city for phosphate and aluminium production in Saudi Arabia. Facing complex HSSE challenges across construction, labour camps, transport, security and emergency medical provision, Ma'aden engaged Restrata for Security and Safety Master Planning and strategic HSSE consulting.

Restrata provided strategic HSSE advice and policies (adopted by Ma'aden and used by tenants), detailed recommendations for construction labour camp location and management, a security policy for contracting and operations, a health‑risk review with medical and emergency coordination recommendations, and preliminary and detailed transport studies. Ma'aden implemented Restrata's recommendations—including access and road system plans based on the transport study—and established coordinated security, health and camp-management arrangements that improved safety, reduced HSSE exposure and enabled more efficient construction and operation of MRIC.
