General Electronic MENA, which sends over 2,000 business travelers per month across the region, engaged Restrata after the Arab Spring to address traveller safety and situational awareness. GE needed a 24/7 centre staffable in multiple languages to provide travel advice, monitor and escalate incidents to the MENA Head Office, track personnel in high‑risk environments, and deliver around‑the‑clock technical support — requirements taken on by Restrata’s SecureLocate™ team.
Restrata designed and built a multi‑lingual Operations Room and Travel Management Centre (including SecureLocate™ tracking and monitoring, device training and GOCC support) in Knowledge Village, Dubai, overcoming basement satellite/GPS and fibre routing challenges. The solution — implemented on time and within budget — gave Restrata’s GOCC 24/7 crisis‑management and technical support capability, materially improving General Electronic MENA’s real‑time visibility of users and operations across the MENA region.
