Milwaukee Water Works, the City of Milwaukee’s water utility, wanted to strengthen its reputation as a high-quality, low-cost source of water and attract water-intensive businesses to the area. To support that goal, it turned to Responsory for a B2B utility market expansion campaign centered on promoting business rate discounts and water supply advantages.
Responsory developed a multichannel campaign that included audience research, segmented and personalized direct mail, a brochure, teaser envelope, and a microsite with a custom savings calculator. The result was a polished, “world-class” marketing effort that helped reposition Milwaukee Water Works as a national leader and gave the utility a stronger, more credible appearance in the market.
