John Crane (Ireland) Ltd., a global leader in welded metal bellows seals operating a 40,000 sq. ft. plant in Shannon with about 100 staff, faced rising manufacturing energy costs (~€80K/year) and had no corporate energy policy or visibility into where energy was being used. They engaged ResourceKraft to measure, interpret and advise on how to reverse the trend, using ResourceKraft’s metering and Advisor energy management software.

ResourceKraft installed fixed meters on 15 sub-boards plus four wireless meters and connected the data to its Advisor platform (two-day install) to create a consumption baseline, event alerts and graphical reports. Using ResourceKraft’s insights John Crane cut electricity use by roughly 25% (saving about €25K in year one), made Advisor reports part of KPIs, and achieved ISO 50001 at the site, with continued incremental savings.
