The Limerick Strand Hotel, a 4‑star city‑centre hotel with 184 bedrooms and a pool, engaged ResourceKraft in 2016 to cut energy consumption and costs, raise staff awareness and promote its green credentials. ResourceKraft installed its Advisor software, provided an Energy Engineer to monitor usage, produced investment plans and ran an awareness campaign to identify waste and target high‑use systems.

Using ResourceKraft’s Advisor data and engineering support the hotel introduced timed shutdowns for chillers and the Heatstar pool pump, new SOPs for night and kitchen staff, and targeted metering. ResourceKraft’s measures reduced night‑time usage (reported as a drop from 60% to 30%), cut overall consumption by about 57,750 kWh, and delivered measurable savings — chiller changes saving around €1,800/month (≈€224/week), Heatstar €140/month and vending timers €175/year — while enabling 24/7 monitoring and ongoing reporting.
