SDC Trailers, a manufacturer with 580 employees producing over 110 trailers a week, was struggling with soaring manufacturing electricity costs and very limited visibility into consumption beyond a monthly bill and stale meter profiles. They engaged ResourceKraft and its Advisor energy monitoring software to pinpoint where and when energy savings could be made.

ResourceKraft deployed a custom Advisor package monitoring Electricity, Liquid Petroleum Gas and Heating Oil with no production shutdown, trained management, and enabled automated reporting, KPIs and SMS/email alerts. Using ResourceKraft’s analytics SDC put proactive controls in place, replaced inefficient lighting and continuously reviews consumption, targeting a 5% reduction in overall electricity use (site trending toward a 5% year‑on‑year reduction) and achieving overall fuel usage reductions despite increased activity.
