The customer, a marijuana advocacy organization, faced the challenge of identifying and connecting with persuadable Nevada voters to support a 2016 ballot measure to legalize recreational marijuana. To meet this challenge, they turned to the vendor Resonate and leveraged its proprietary consumer data and targeting service.

Resonate implemented a solution using its data to identify specific audiences of registered voters, such as older moms concerned about education and crime. These voters were then served tailored ads based on their values and policy positions. The campaign was highly successful: the measure passed, Resonate served ads to 81% of all ballot voters, and 96% of the margin voters clicked the ads to visit the website.
