Algonquin College, a multi-campus institution in Ontario with about 20,000 full-time students, up to 37,000 continuing-education registrants and a 35‑person security team, struggled with a manual incident process: officers used pen-and-paper activity logs and a custom Microsoft Access database to manage roughly 12,000 activities and 2,000 incidents a year across domestic and international operations. The college needed a scalable, mobile-capable system and had to migrate 16,000 existing records into a new platform.
In 2010 Algonquin implemented Resolver’s Perspective (Activity Tracking, Incident Reporting, Investigation & Case Management), completing the 16,000‑record migration in about four months. With up to 10 concurrent users, a 24‑hour dispatch and an iOS app on officers’ iPhones, staff can create and query incidents from the field, improving communications, investigations and reporting — delivering digitized, more responsive incident management and better readiness for regulatory and operational requirements.
