How the Panama Canal’s Manzanillo International Terminal is Putting the Customer at the Center of Corporate Security

Manzanillo International Terminal (MIT) is a major marine logistics terminal on the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal handling over 2.7 million TEU and Ro‑Ro cargo. MIT’s Corporate Security team needed to keep people, equipment and customer cargo safe, but key incident and risk data were scattered in spreadsheets, making it difficult to see trends, assess risks and make timely decisions.

MIT implemented Resolver to centralize incident, case and risk data (going live in four months), enabling analytics-driven control testing and clearer audit evidence. The platform improved incident management, guided investments such as fleet-management tools to reduce collisions, strengthened security controls and customer confidence, and helped drive a broader, safety‑centric culture across the terminal.
