How LMFM Brings Together Data for Over 60 Facilities into a Single Source

Lower Mainland Facilities Management (LMFM) is a shared-services organization supporting four health authorities and managing 60 healthcare facilities in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Bringing together multiple organizations created inconsistent approaches to risk across critical infrastructure—13 asset systems such as HVAC and emergency power—and over 1,000 identified risks. Relying on spreadsheets made it impossible to maintain consistency, prioritize work, and protect mission‑critical operations like hospital operating rooms with limited resources.

LMFM implemented Resolver’s Enterprise Risk Management application in a three‑month rollout, configuring a single data repository and a shared risk library used in on‑site workshops. The platform consolidated operational and capital risk data (about 80% operational), enabled collaboration across sites, and distilled thousands of risks into a few enterprise‑level issues. As a result LMFM improved risk visibility and prioritization, strengthened business cases for capital spending, aligned budgets with risk, and used risk data to guide project design and delivery.
