VoiceBase, a San Francisco-based speech-to-text and analytics provider, needed a faster way to distribute large speech model files to more than 400 production servers across multiple colocation sites. Its existing process, built on rsync, NFS, and custom scripts, often bogged down and took 8–9 hours to complete. VoiceBase turned to Resilio and its peer-to-peer file distribution solution, Resilio Connect.

Resilio implemented a BitTorrent-based peer-to-peer approach that automated distribution across racks, locations, and servers with no manual intervention. The result was a dramatic improvement: VoiceBase reduced software distribution time by 88%, cutting a typical copy job from about eight hours to one hour.
