A Resilio Case Study
Otto Bros, a South African retail fashion distributor, needed a reliable way to keep POS systems updated across 86 stores and 470 endpoints despite poor, low-bandwidth networks. After issues with corrupt transfers and unreliable file copy methods like rsync and FTP, the company looked to Resilio for a more dependable deployment approach.
Resilio implemented Resilio Connect, using its uTorrent-based P2P distributed technology along with WAN optimization and bandwidth scheduling to distribute POS update packages efficiently to stores and machines. The result was successful, real-time delivery visibility for a 366 MB update job across 63 clients in 2 groups, with 93% completion shown in progress, and Otto Bros reported much improved reliability and confidence that files arrived intact.
