Case Study: Mercedes-Benz achieves 95% faster OS deployment with Resilio

A Resilio Case Study

Preview of the Mercedes Benz Case Study

Mercedes-Benz reduced their OS deployment time by 95%

Mercedes-Benz AG, one of the largest Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Central-West Europe, needed a better way to keep remote agents connected and to push imaging upgrades and downgrades to third-party Windows 7 tablets. The team had been relying on USB sticks to move software out to users, but lacked an efficient way to distribute updates across its 34 branches in Switzerland and 6 branches in Italy. Resilio helped address this challenge with its Connect platform and central management console.

With Resilio’s peer-to-peer distribution technology, Mercedes-Benz AG could coordinate bandwidth scheduling and keep endpoints in sync through a single console. The result was a dramatic reduction in OS deployment time, from eight days to just hours, while also avoiding the cost of expensive servers and saving thousands. Resilio’s distributed architecture also helped the dealership expand to new sites and transfer data faster and more reliably than before.
