Larian Studios, the award-winning game developer behind the Divinity series, needed a faster, more reliable way to synchronize large game builds and assets across five global offices and external partners. Its existing rsync and NAS-based tools struggled with long-distance transfers, latency, and packet loss, especially to locations like Quebec and Saint Petersburg. To support tight QA and production deadlines, Larian turned to Resilio Connect.

Resilio Connect was installed on Larian’s existing QNAP and Synology NAS devices and Linux servers without requiring new infrastructure, making migration easy and cost-effective. According to the studio, Resilio transferred data about four to five times faster than previous methods and used the full throughput of its gigabit lines to distribute nightly builds so QA teams could start each morning on a fresh version. The result was faster collaboration, more resilient file sync, and better support for Larian’s global expansion and outsourcing workflows.
