Orangebox boosts field operations planning & scheduling with Resco Routes

Orangebox, a UK-based designer and manufacturer of workplace furniture and part of Steelcase Inc., needed a tighter way to pair their recently deployed Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Field Service schedules for 30 UK installation and service engineers with real-world movement and ETAs. They wanted to replace incumbent vehicle tracking hardware, automate customer and back-office notifications, and keep teams informed of arrivals and delays — and therefore turned to Resco Routes (integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365) for a mobile device tracking solution.

Resco Routes was implemented to integrate live and historic device locations directly into Dynamics 365, providing map-based scheduling, a Time Shift feature for past-movement analysis, and a dedicated operations dashboard. The Resco Routes deployment eliminated extra vehicle tracking hardware (saving at least £100 per vehicle), improved schedule accuracy and planning, offered a clear audit trail of engineer activity, and delivered immediate value to Orangebox’s field operations and customer communications.
