Oil Company Makes It Easy For Its Mechanics & Trucking Supervisors

Blueknight Energy Partners, L.P., a midstream oil & energy partnership with extensive storage, pipeline and transport assets, needed to replace paper-based processes for mechanics and trucking supervisors and make its existing Microsoft Dynamics CRM mobile. To meet that request they turned to Resco Mobile CRM (integrated with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011) to digitize work orders, inspections and vehicle/driver management.

Using Resco Mobile CRM, Blueknight implemented two mobile builds — a mechanics work-order app that captures parts, labor, photos and signatures and a supervisor app for truck-trailer pairing, maintenance history, assignments and inspections — developed in-house over six months. The Resco Mobile CRM solution delivered up‑to‑the‑minute work order data, GPS location accuracy improved to ~5 feet via a Google API, regulatory compliance through conditional mandatory fields, and dramatic efficiency gains (supervisor tasks cut from about 1.5 hours to ~10 seconds), plus rapid user adoption and improved safety reporting.
