Finding the right mobile tool to support change management at Bridgestone

Bridgestone Europe NV/SA, the European subsidiary of Bridgestone with 12,500 employees across 6 regions, needed a mobile CRM to harmonize sales processes for hundreds of field workers and to provide reliable offline access and an easy-to-use interface. Implementation partner CTG Belgium NV evaluated and recommended Resco Mobile CRM on top of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 (MS Dynamics CRM online with ADFS), starting with a 15‑license pilot to assess fit and total cost of ownership.

Bridgestone rolled out Resco Mobile CRM to about 700 tyre dealers, area sales managers and field engineers, giving them offline capability, weekly visit planning, 360° customer views and integrated stock/order access; the mobility solution was ready in 6–7 months with 2–3 months of testing. The deployment enabled work in low‑connectivity areas (e.g., Norway, Sweden, Ireland), delivered higher user acceptance (many prefer the tablet/phone app), and proved easier to configure and support than expected, prompting Bridgestone and CTG to plan a second phase.
