Sensatek Empowers R&D Innovation with Rescale

Sensatek Propulsion Technology, a Daytona Beach‑based developer of on‑blade turbine sensor technology, faced a compute bottleneck that slowed R&D: their custom workstations took weeks per simulation, limiting their ability to validate designs under extreme heat, velocity and electromagnetic conditions. To accelerate product development, control costs, and keep engineers focused on core milestones, Sensatek partnered with Rescale and used Rescale’s intelligent compute platform (with access to Ansys HFSS, Fluent and Mechanical) to run the intensive simulations required for aerospace and energy customers.

Rescale implemented turnkey HPC operations, automated workload orchestration, and continuous cost–performance optimization across best‑fit cloud hardware, plus preinstalled Ansys applications, enabling Sensatek to scale simulations on demand. As a result, Rescale helped reduce projected simulation time from 2,200 hours to 300 hours (cutting a 9‑month effort down to 2 months), while improving efficiency, IT controls, and speed to market.
