Brother Industries Deploys Rescale For an Enhanced Design Environment in the Cloud to Accelerate Computer-Aided Engineering

Brother Industries, a global manufacturer of printers and sewing machines, needed to modernize its engineering IT as part of a broader move to the cloud. Its internal CAE environment, including the ATLAS analysis automation system, was reaching hardware renewal time, and the company wanted a more cost-effective, flexible way to handle compute-intensive simulations without sacrificing usability or security.

Brother Industries implemented Rescale, with support from system integrator ISID, to create a hybrid cloud CAE environment connected to ATLAS. Using Rescale’s browser-based HPC platform, engineers could run simulations such as impact, shock, and thermo-fluid analysis with pay-as-you-go access to high-performance resources. The result was faster analysis turnaround, increased usage across the development team, and reduced waiting time so engineers could spend more time on design work.
