Bombardier Aerospace, a global aircraft manufacturer, needed a way to run a demanding aerodynamic simulation of unsteady airflow around aircraft landing gear. The company worked with Rescale and used its browser-based cloud simulation platform to set up and submit the CFD job, with support for software, hardware, and job configuration.

Rescale provided the computing power and engineering support needed to run the simulation on 16 cores with 200GB of RAM, using Gerris for the analysis and real-time browser-based visualization for monitoring. The job took more than 10 days to converge and produced 60GB of results for post-processing, demonstrating that Rescale could deliver scalable HPC for industrial CFD workloads.
