Upson Regional Medical Center, a 150-bed hospital in the Atlanta metro area, needed a way to streamline desktop management across its main campus and clinic sites while staying HIPAA and FDA compliant. With more than 500 desktops, 60 servers, and 180 applications to manage, the understaffed IT team struggled with slow logins, long computer setup times, and too many help desk requests. The hospital turned to RES Software, using RES ONE Workspace and RES ONE Automation to improve efficiency and security.
RES Software implemented centralized workspace and automation tools that gave URMC instant software delivery, stronger control over USB, web access, and software installs, and faster resolution of help desk issues. The results included login times reduced from about two and a half minutes to 15 seconds, new workstations set up in 16 minutes, 40% fewer help desk calls, and significant cost savings, while also improving compliance and clinician productivity.
